Every year, McMahon Ryan Child Advocacy Center helps over 1,500 children who have been victims of child abuse. While these numbers are heartbreaking, the difference we make is immeasurable—and we can only continue this vital work with your help.
The Facts Are Alarming:
- Every 8 minutes, a child is sexually abused in the United States.
- Nearly 5 children die every day from neglect or abuse.
- 1 in 10 children will experience sexual abuse before their 18th birthday.
- Shockingly, only 1 in 10 children will ever disclose the abuse they’ve suffered.

Blow Someone Away
“Blow Away” family, friends or co-workers with 50 pinwheels either planted on a lawn or delivered to work. They, in turn, will be challenged to blow someone else away, extending the reach of awareness and fundraising.
Donate the proceeds from your own community-sponsored event. Many people hold fundraisers in the form of birthday parties, golf tournaments, “jean days” at work, celebrity bartending events, and more. For further information, contact Development Coordinator Dana Walk or call 315-701-2985.
