I am a Detective with the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office currently assigned to the Abused Persons / Special Victims Unit out of the McMahon Ryan Child Advocacy Center (MRCAC). The dedicated members of our unit are responsible for investigating all child abuse and sex related crimes. As law enforcement officials we work together at the MRCAC as a multidisciplinary team with the Onondaga County District Attorneys Office, child protective services, social workers, advocates, therapists, and medical professionals.
I am proud to say that since I transferred to the abused persons unit last year it has been the most regarding assignment of my twenty-two year police career.
On August 21, 2021 I will be joining other volunteers by rappelling down One Park Place in downtown Syracuse to help raise money to provide services for the abused children and their families of Onondaga County.
