Childhood trauma and abuse can have lifelong consequences. If not reported at the time of the abuse, that child is left to their own devices seeking understanding, safety, comfort, and relief.
It doesn’t have to be this way. Our children do not have to grow into adults who are still suffering and trying to carry the pain.
By educating ourselves and supporting advocates and organizations like the McMahon Ryan Child Advocacy Center we can help our children much sooner, giving them access to living a healthy and full life.
This is an issue incredibly important to me but I believe it’s a basic right for all children to have their childhood, especially if that means outside help to stop abuse and treat its lasting impacts.
I’d like to raise $1,000 for the advocacy center but I need your help. Anything you can donate will be appreciated. You and I might not be able to prevent childhood abuse but we can help others who have dedicated their lives to doing so.
Thank you for your time and donation.
