Be part of something different and take your support of McMahon Ryan Child Advocacy Center to new heights!
Every day, children come to our Center who have faced more fear in their young lives than most adults ever face. Yet, they find the courage to share their stories of abuse and take the brave steps needed towards a path to healing. On their behalf, we are asking you to summon that same level of courage and in a fun, safe setting.
“Over the Edge” is an exciting, high profile and exclusive event to the Central New York area. Brave participants will have the opportunity to rappel down One Park Place in downtown Syracuse, in order to raise money to provide free services for the 1,000-plus abused children we see each year in Onondaga County. The day will be filled with food, fun, and festivities while celebrating the brave rappellers.
No rappelling or climbing experience is required for participants. The Over the Edge staff consists of professionals with an outstanding safety record who will provide the technical expertise, training, and equipment needed to perform this event.
Afraid of heights?
You can still be a part of our day by signing up to be a sponsor of the event or donating to a rappeller to help them reach their $1,000 goal or volunteering that day.
Really afraid of heights? You can still come to cheer our rappellers on and enjoy numerous family-friendly activities!
It’s a day of fun and excitment you and your family won’t want to miss!
How Do I Participate?
Become a rappeller. We’ll set up a donations page just for you, so you can tell your friends and family why this is important to you and to the children in our area, and we’ll help you get the word out! Then raise a minimum of $1,000 to go over the edge.
Show up on August 15, enjoy the festivities and experience the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to rappel down One Park Place!
