Golfers Raise $83,000 plus with 100 Holes 4 Kids!

From YNN – One hundred holes in one day. A daunting task for even the best of golfers, especially in extreme heat.
But it's a challenge worth meeting when you're doing it to raise money to help abused children.
Twenty-four golfers hit the links at the Skaneateles Country Club Monday for the100 Holes 4 Kids event. It is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the McMahon/Ryan Child Advocacy Center. Their mission is to end child abuse through intervention and education.
And the golfers who participated had no problem raising more than $83,000 this year.
"They believe in our mission. They believe what we're doing with regards to protecting kids that have been seriously physically or sexually abused. They've been to the site. They've seen what we do. They see the team and they see the impact that we have," said Julie Cecile, McMahon/Ryan Child Advocacy Center Executive Director.
All told, in nine years, the event has raised more than $600,000.
This year's money will help pay for a mental health provider and an advocate.
And everyone is reminded that if you suspect a child is being abused, please report it. The Onondaga County Child Abuse Hotline is (315) 422-9701.
